What to Expect

Thanks for your interest in fishing with me at Far West Fly Fishing.

Here are key details in providing you a fun and safe adventure, so you know what to expect:

Guests are asked to bring sunglasses, a rain jacket, and a fishing license. The license cost is $23 for one day for Oregon residents or non-residents, or $44 for the entire year for Oregon residents. When fishing for trout, guests do not need to purchase an additional Columbia River Basin Endorsement. Here’s what the state posts for license sales outlets: https://myodfw.com/articles/where-find-odfw-license-agentsvendors. Online license purchase options are also available at https://odfw.huntfishoregon.com/login.

I’ll provide guests with any equipment needed, including waders, wading boots, rods and flies. Of course, guests are welcome to bring their own equipment if they wish.

To enhance safety, I provide personal flotation devices for guests, and guests are required to wear them while in the raft, or wear their own personal flotation devices if they prefer.

l will email guests a liability waiver and emergency contact form to print out and sign and give to me before the beginning of the trip. I can also provide the paperwork at the beginning of the trip, if needed.

A couple days before the trip, I’ll confirm with guests the exact location and time we will meet, based on what is fishing best at the time.

At the end of the trip, I will welcome any suggestions from guests on how I can better operate a fun and safe fly fishing trip.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Looking forward to fly fishing with you!

Steve
